We offer two different streams for our SALT sessions; We’ve got 3 special weeks of creativity and adventure planned or you at a cost savings of at least $345.
SALT's Purpose: To provide excellence in teaching, education, worship and fellowship; to train the next generation of Christian leaders; to provide for experience in leading others within a safe environment (mental, physical, spiritual and social – Luke 2:52); to develop community; to develop or improve outdoor skills; for personal growth; to development group dynamics through teamwork; to provide coaching assessment and feedback for growth; What Will YOU learn?
Session 1: Adventure-based - This session will focus on an outdoor adventure setting and application. You will learn about leadership and teamwork principles, instruction towards achieving your ORCKA flat-water level 1 or 2, instruction towards achieving your Bronze Medallion or Bronze Cross, have practical in-cabin leadership experiences, spend a day rock climbing, canoe to Huntsville, special day trips off camp property, service projects around town and more...
Session 2: Creative-Based - Still the same program that SALT has built on year after year, this session will focus on experiencing God's creative character in the outdoors. You will learn about leadership and principles of teamwork while cultivating creative opportunities to perform and express yourself in different mediums. Each SALTer gets to produce a worship project which can be almost anything. Trips are made to off-site events in Muskoka - the home of Group of Seven founding member Tom Thompson. The Staff will assist the SALTers in developing their projects and interests, opening new opportunities for them to progress.
