To Our Widjiitiwin Family,

It is with sincerest regret that I tell you we have decided to cancel our on site summer season at Camp Widjiitiwin. This was a very difficult decision. As we looked and evaluated the options and how we might run camp safely for all our campers, partners and staff, we didn't believe this was possible given the restrictions that would be in place for us to be safe at camp.

So much of what we do at camp is based on doing camp together. We believe it would compromise our vision to do camp in limited ways with PPE and physical distancing. Here is the link to the letter we sent our camp families, staff, donors and Ignite partners, https://widjiitiwin.ca/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Widji-Summer-2020-Cancelled.pdf.

We're looking forward to hosting you in 2021!!

Beginning in 1930, Camp Widjiitiwin has established itself as Muskoka’s overnight summer camp with character and a community focus. Life at camp is full of fun games and challenging activities, but the most memorable experiences for campers at Widjiitiwin are the relationships they develop with peers and leaders. SALT Campers and staff are involved in the creative process of developing new games, leading chapel and campfire times. Every week ends with campers signing each other’s camp shirt (provided with their registration) and campers and families are invited to follow and participate with our social media accounts, where we share posts and pictures from the summer year round.

We’re dedicated to ensuring your camper has the best camp experience possible. To learn more choose the age category from the menu at the top of the page and download our 2020 brochure with the button on the right.

Mabels LabelsAt the end of summer, there is always a pile of camper belongings left at camp. As a way to target the problem of lost belongings, we are encouraging our campers to label all belongings. We have partnered with Mabel's Labels, a company with all types of labels that are colourful, indestructible and fun! With a special 'Camp Pack' and a larger “Big Combo”, your camper can label absolutely everything!
