Did you know you can claim part of your child’s week of camp on your tax return. Here is some additional information for you. 

You can claim up to a maximum of $1,000 per child the fees paid in 2015 relating to the cost of registration or membership for your or your spouse’s or common-law partner’s child in a prescribed program of physical activity.

Most Recent Findings for Children’s Fitness and Arts Tax Credits – Federal Income Tax (you may receive 15% of what you claim)

  • Children’s Fitness Tax Credit – – You may claim up to $1000
  • Children’s Arts Tax Credit – – You may claim up to $500
  • Provincial Tax Credit (you may receive 10% of what you claim) – Children’s Activity Tax Credit: You may claim up to $551
