As I got to hold Olivia this weekend, and she did a lot of napping in my arms, I noticed so many details in her. Her eyes are lightening and are the most amazing blue. Her hair is changing colour. She has so MANY expressions, even while sleeping. And she is so beautiful. As her tiny hand gripped the smallest tip of my baby finger it occurred to me that inside her little fingers was all the same parts as in my big fingers. Much smaller of course. It’s just absolutely AMAZING!! It reminded me of these verses in Psalm 139 and in Genesis 1 where we are made in our Creator’s image.
For your encouragement
Psalm 139:13-16 says
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
Genesis 1:27 says we are made in the image of our Creator – So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
